WONDERING WHERE TO COMPETE?
Open to juniors ages 5-14, this tour is a great introduction for younger players, just beginning competition. Course yardages are very friendly and just like the PGA Tour, juniors are encouraged to have caddies, caddies are mandatory for ages 8 and under.
The KJGT is both local and affordable, catering to junior golfers between the ages of 6 and 19. This tour is designed to provide an educational and competitive experience for young golfers,. They conduct approximately 30 summer tournaments in Livingston, Oakland, Washtenaw, and Wayne County.
With multiple age divisions ranging from ages 8-18, and course offerings throughout Michigan and nationally, the Top 50 Junior was founded for the purpose of offering junior golfers more opportunity to compete and gain recognition by college golf coaches.
This tour hosts tournaments at great courses throughout Michigan. Open to juniors ages 7-18, Meijer is designed for younger age groups while Callaway is geared for the competitive high school golfer with college exposure. Keep in mind, no caddies are allowed.
The GolfWeek Junior Tour will be a step up for junior golfers interested in advancing their playing careers by offering exemptions to top level national events. With events in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee - the tour's top priority is to give players the best chance at playing at the collegiate level.
Considered by many leaders in the golf industry to be the premier junior golf association of the world, junior golfers between the ages of 12 and 19 are eligible to play in AJGA events around the United States. Each year, the vast majority of AJGA graduates go on to compete at the college level. In addition, most graduates are awarded college golf or academic scholarships
